I remember my grandmothers and how each of them lived into their role differently. I remember my mother’s relationship with each of my grandmothers. I saw how my mother and mother-in-law built connections with my children, their grandchildren. Now it’s time for me to live into the grandmother relationship. I am NanaKim, wanting to be a superhero, but I smile knowing that children keep us grounded in reality.
